Born in New England, and raised in Phoenix, Tony has been a Senior Associate at HPLA Studio since its inception in 2009. He contributes to the office in many crucial roles such as project coordination, native inventory & salvage plans, and as the studio’s lead irrigation designer. Tony is well versed in project production, from construction documentation to municipal submittals. As a guitarist most of his life, Tony’s discovery of landscape architecture was almost accidental, having found the profession through friends in the field and being inspired by their passion & enthusiasm for the work. He believes nothing is more important in landscape architecture than preserving & thoughtfully enhancing the natural environment. That the natural aspects of landscape architecture serve a vital role in the whole of an ecosystem and a well-designed, water efficient irrigation system has outstanding ecological value. Tony approaches his job with an understanding that the work he does has a prodigious impact in bringing effective solutions that marry aesthetic design & sustainability.
