Landscape Architectural Designer /
Project Coordinator

HPLA is seeking talented, design oriented candidates with two to four years of professional experience in landscape architecture.

Our work is to transform cities around the United States through innovative public and private projects to revitalize, re-purpose and re-image exterior spaces.

 


Responsibilities

  • Design (design studies, sketches and conceptual studies using hand drawing and digital media)
  • 3D Modeling
  • Rendering
  • Producing presentation graphics and presentations
  • Assisting in preparation of construction drawings/documents,set(grading plans, planting plans, layout and lighting plans, technical details and specifications)
  • Assist in development of site development plans submitted for development approval in conformance with plans, specifications and ordinances
  • Compiling and analyzing data on site conditions
  • Assist in preparation of proposals, contracts, cost estimates, technical reports and memos
  • Attending and participating in meetings (incl. oral presentations, interaction with clients, consultant teams and travel)
  • Work with senior designers on a collaborative team from conceptual design through construction documentation

Requirements

  • A professional undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited program in landscape architecture.
  • 2-4 years' professional experience in a landscape architecture office
  • Strong design skills

  • Project management/project coordination experience
  • Experience with schematic design, design development, and construction documents
  • Demonstrated the ability to successfully work directly with clients and other consultants
  • Demonstrated the ability to successfully direct the work of junior staff and train entry level designers
  • Technical understanding of landscape architecture site development elements
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2015 +, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, esp. ) , Microsoft office, Outlook, 3D modeling (Sketchup or Rhino), Rendering (Vray or Lumion)

Additional experience with the following is desirable:

  • Revit
  • Grasshopper
  • Bluebeam Revu
